Sir Slick pleased in preparation for the Gr I First Sovereign Trust NZ Stakes at Ellerslie on Saturday when working this morning.
On the plough (good), Sir Slick completed his work with 600m in 37.3. He is on target to go another big race in the Ellerslie feature in which he was narrowly beaten last year.
Not A Word (S. Smith) ran a quiet 600m in 45.2. Rushnova (H. Calderwood) worked at three-quarter pace, covering the last 600m in 45.1. Gabana (H. Calderwood) and Loaded Cammand (S. Smith) worked nicely over 600m in 37.3. Sister Veronica (S. Smith) and Anden (H. Calderwood matched strides over 600m in 37.5. O'Reilly express (K. Hughes) worked a full round on the plough in 2:16.8. On the course proper, Indikator completed two rounds of pacework with a sprint up the straight. |
